The 2007 Indoor Aerial Robot Competition focuses on gust stabilization.  In this year’s competition, the blimp must hover over a target for 30 seconds under varying gust conditions, depicted below.

 

The competition will consist of 3 rounds with varying gust conditions as follows: 

Round 1: 5 sec burst of low speed, steadt flow

Round 2: Continuous low speed, steady flow

Round 3: Continuous low speed, unsteady flow
